It is our great honour to welcome you to the Third Annual Meeting of UMN-CAS Bilateral Seminar is hosted jointly by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and University of Minnesota (UMN). This year’s meeting brings together over 200 eminent scientists, researchers and delegates from institutions, companies, organizations and government from China and U.S. The 3rd bilateral seminar aims to gather input from funding agencies and interested stakeholders to exchange information and neo-technologies. It also serves as opportunities to develop new and strengthen existing relationships between organizations and across the international science community. We will continue our goals and its commitment to provide networking opportunities among leading PM2.5 experts at UMN, CAS/Universities in China, and identify top emerging areas in PM2.5 science/economic analysis, health effects, and control technologies for research cooperation among the delegates.

Those seminars we held before contributed greatly to the development of aerosol science, and strengthen our connection in scientific research realm. In this coming seminar, we have arranged presentations by the panelists, breakout session discussions, and networking opportunities for the delegates. The panelists are all leading scientists from their respective fields in academia, industry and government. We believe that the seminar will hold the interest of everyone and we are confident that the 3rd bilateral seminar will benefit from the same dedicated effort and spirit of cooperation established at both domestic and international level.
