Theo Murphy scientific meeting organised by Dr Justyn Maund, Professor Paul Crowther, Dr Hans-Thomas Janka and Professor Norbert Langer.
The few seconds it takes to explode a massive star separate millions of years of stellar evolution from thousands of years of supernova evolution. In this meeting, we will discuss massive stars both before and after the explosion, from theoretical and observational perspectives, addressing how the pre-collapse life affects the explosion mechanism and supernova display.
Speaker biographies, abstracts and the schedule of talks are available below. Recorded audio of the presentations will be available on this page after the event has taken place.
