Geoscientists interested in observing the outcrop expression of Montney Formation unconventional reservoir facies, their sedimentary characteristics and sequence stratigraphic framework.

Objectives

1、comparison and contrast of Montney facies including tempestites, turbidites and silt-dominated intervals

2、review of pertinent facies models, exploration strategies and modern analogues to Triassic (Montney) reservoirs

3、review of bedding patterns in shoreface and offshore sequences; examination of lateral variability in proximal, medial and distal facies exposures

4、review fracture characterization using observations in outcrop successions
