The 2022 IEEE 23rd International Conference on High-Performance Switching and Routing (HPSR 2022) will be held in Taicang, Jiangsu, China, from June 6 to 8 (with virtual sessions). The conference is sponsored by the IEEE Communications Society.
IEEE HPSR will address numerous challenges of today’s data networks, which are being subject to significant changes driven by cloud computing, the Internet of things, data science and analysis in communication networks, and other new concepts. As a result, new technologies are needed to efficiently and effectively cope with the resulting traffic demands. It is important that researchers gather to share their ideas and progress in solving these future challenges that the Internet as a whole is facing. Most notably, these challenges include narrowing the digital-divide between industrialized and developing countries, offering to the latter all the advantages that come with access to high-speed Internet and the services it provides; handling the bandwidth and delay requirements of multimedia services, P2P, and cloud computing applications; deploying IPv6 and providing smooth migration from IPv4; deploying large datacenters and enhancing their switching capabilities; and achieving high energy efficiency in switching and routing equipment. These are only some of the factors that are driving the demand for switching and routing capabilities that are more intelligent, efficient, and reliable than ever before
As driven by users’ expectations on better information services and pushed by the innovating technologies spanning from optical networks to beyond 5G (6G) , the Next Generation Networks (NGN) and future communication system design will integrate space, air, and ground network segments to form a large-scale, autonomous and yet complicated space-air-ground integrated network that provides ubiquitous and seamless wireless connectivity for Internet of Everything. New networking technologies are needed to efficiently and effectively cope with the ever-increasing complexity of network operation and management for network providers, so as to achieve fully-automated, highly-autonomous and advanced-intelligent networks.
The main focus of the HPSR 2022 – the 23nd edition of HPSR conference – will be to assess how breakthrough changes occurring to networks and telecom are affecting areas related to switching, routing, computing and communication networks in general. We are soliciting original and thought-provoking works on big data, data analytics, cloud/edge services, and machine-learning techniques applied to networking, computing, switching and routing. Works on autonomous networks, 5G and beyond, IoT, Industry 4.0, social networks, satellite and space networks, cybersecurity, virtualization, and other advanced topics are also welcome.
